As part of Journeys International Festival Dr Lighthouse (aka Roy Hanney) was invited to remix the award winning film Sanctuary/Sustenance: The Story of Many Journeys and stage it as a multi projector immersive performance in Portsmouth Cathedral.

Here is the story of the original film taken from their Art Works website: Sanctuary/Sustenance: The Story of Many Journeys is a multimedia projection of photography, film, music, and words launched on June 20, 2013 in honour of World Refugee Day in cities around the world. The installation was projected on the facades of community and civic centers, houses of worship, places of learning and other locales that have historically opened their doors as places of welcome and shelter. Collaborators include Lynsey AddarioMarcus BleasdalePaula Bronstein, Helene Caux, Jean ChungRon HavivDavid HogsholtGiulio di Sturco, and James Whitlow Delano along with filmmaker Maren Wickwire. Sanctuary/Sustenance features music by the Argentine classical composer Osvaldo Noé Golijov. Additional music is by Lee Maddeford, Jonathan Wiest, and Ventanas.

This is what Journeys International Festival have to say about the project: To close the events in Portsmouth, and Journeys Festival International 2016 as a whole, was the UK premiere of the extraordinary installation, Sanctuary/Sustenance: The Story of Many Journeys, presented in the ethereal setting of Portsmouth Cathedral. The immersive, multimedia projection of photography, film and music gave viewers the opportunity to trace the journey of a family during the catastrophic events of displacement, and on their pathway to sanctuary.
